Most Critical Care treatments and tasks focus on the patient’s head and chest. Eleganza 4 allows perfect access to the upper part of the patient’s body. The unique siderails concept not only keeps the patient safe but also provides support in critical situations and all daily care activities. With integrated controls in both upper siderails, the caregiver has direct access to all functions and adjustment options of the bed.

The Eleganza 4 provides a one-button philosophy, with an easily accessible control panel and positioning and emergency functions set at the touch of just one-button. Foot controls allow hands-free care strategy with easily available adjustment for height and patient examination position.

Eleganza 4 is designed to provide support during different clinical needs and facilitate efficient patient care. The variety of available features assists in enhancing patient’s independence and comfort. These include Cardiac Chair position, integrated scales which provide accurate measurement of patient’s weight without additional risk of moving the patient, x-ray capability with an x-ray transparent mattress platform and special bed construction. Additionally the patient has immediate access to controls in the siderails and patient handset to allow greater comfort and independence.

Patient safety takes top priority. The Eleganza 4 bed is equipped with a range of sophisticated functions that protect the patient in different situations. These include I-Brake automatic braking system, Bed Exit Alarm that monitors patient movement on the bed and bed exit, the Safestop feature which stops bed automatically if anything becomes trapped between the bed platform and undercarriage when moving to the lowest position. Additionally the siderail concept and height optimises special patient needs like usage of different passive and active mattress systems or fall prevention.
