The Virtuoso Pro is a 3 cell-cycle, alternating pressure mattress replacement featuring Body, Head and Heel Zoner Selectors for advanced healing and prevention of pressure injuries and is an ideal solution for individualised care of patients with critical care needs.
The clinically proven 3-cell 7 ½ minute cycle of the Virtuoso Pro stimulates reactive hyperaemia and promotes blood and lymph flow in the deep tissues surrounding the vulnerable bony prominences which maintains tissue viability in bed confined individuals.
Body Zoner Selectors
Virtuoso Pro features Body Zoner selectors which allow for the selective deflation of individual cells in body section of mattress for advanced pressure care options.
These key individually selectable cells provide ideal care options for critical care patients with compromised mobility and at Very High Risk of developing pressure injuries. They provide the option of the elimination of pressure at key body sites, also can provide space below key body sites allowing use of other medical devices that may present additional pressure area risk when applied/attached to the patient and deflation of top deck air cells to make space for body parts for Prone nursing.
Head and Heel Zoner selectors
The head zoner provides the choice of alternating or static modes to suit the needs of your patient. Also cell deflation function supports specialist or day to day procedures such as intubation or hair washing. The heel zoner is a selective deflation feature to maximise pressure elimination in the very high risk area of the patients heels. It also aides muscle flexing to help prevent ‘heel drop’ in highly immobile patients.
Thanks to the head zoner it is possible to place the patient in the prone position, which is comfortable. It is used in connection with pulmonary pathology in severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (severe ARDS).
True MicroClimate Management (MCM)
The Dartex cover of the Virtuoso features true MicroClimate Management (MCM) with a Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate (MVTR) of 1028g/m2/24hr which ensures it is highly breathable to allow a vapour exchange between the top and bottom side of the cover material.
The MCM feature helps to manage the heat and humidity of a patient’s skin in order to help prevent or assist in the treatment of tissue damage related to moisture on the skin. The superior mattress design and cover ensures that air circulates under the patient body to enable air movement and moisture removal. MCM runs separately to the alternating cycle ensuring that the clinical efficacy and zero pressure therapy are maintained.
Automatic features to enhance patient care
Virtuoso Pro has been designed with nursing staff efficiency in mind with a number of automatic features that will reduce nurse workload such as auto-adjustment to patient weight and position, Advanced Auto-Fowler Boost mode and auto-return to alternating from Max Inflate.
